Left on West Peachtree Court NW, in 1 mile.

Since moving to Atlanta a couple of years ago, I have learned a few things. One, if you see a restaurant you think you may want to try, you better do it soon because the next time you drive by, it might be something else. Two, if there is so much as 1 snowflake that falls to the ground, the whole city shuts down. And three, there are approximately 4,924,380 variations of Peachtree Street (slight exaggeration, of course). Which is specifically why, when I saw this little number on Overstock this morning, it was calling my name. I have been thinking about purchasing a GPS system for a while now. Not only because I still manage to have problems finding my way home on a regular basis, but also because I always get slightly envious when I hear my friends refer to their GPS systems by name. "Oh, Ursula always gets me where I want to go." I decided that I too needed an Ursula to get me to where I needed to go. I am so excited to see that this GPS system has gotten good reviews and is also on sale! Not to mention, Overstock is a steal when it comes to shipping. $2.95 on your entire order!

I think I might name mine Bernice.

April Showers...Bring Cute Coats!

This time of the year has always been a little difficult for me in the wardrobe department. With the constant back and forth of warm sunny days to cool damp days, I never know when to fully pack away the coats and cashmere. That's why I love these colorful coats that Bluefly has starting at 40% off. They are colorful enough to brighten up any dreary day, yet light enough to keep in the closet all Spring long. So go ahead and pack away the wool peacoats and move on to something that will put a little more Spring in your step!

This MICHAEL by Michael Kors cotton coat will look great dressed down with jeans for the weekend, or thrown over a LBD on a rainy date night. $96!

Recession Proof Purchases

I am always looking around on the internet trying to find great deals on classic items that rarely go on sale. Even with everything going on with the economy, no one wants to give up shopping! One of my favorite things to look for, especially right now, are solid wardrobe staples that will never go out of style. That way, even in times like these, you can still look polished and modern by adding trendy accessories to your classic investment pieces. That's why I love Bloomingdales. It seems like they always seem to pull through with some of the greatest sales and deals each season! Right now, just until Midnight tonight, you can receive up to 40% off of your purchase! This is a perfect time to dive in and get that investment piece that you have had your eye on, but never seems to go on sale! Some of my favorite classic wardrobe staples that Bloomingdales has included in the promotion are below. These items will live in your closet forever and carry you from year to year!

Gucci Aviator Sunglasses.

Burberry Trench Coat.

Michael Kors Large Leather Hobo Bag.

Diane Von Furstenberg Wrap Dress.

Emilio Pucci Silk Scarf.

Like a Mess, in the Air.

That is how I remember my dad instructing me to pronounce Hermes a few years ago. And the saying has stuck. Now I even have my significant other thinking twice before butchering it completely (although sometimes intentional, just to get on my nerves). Even though I completely love the classic style of Hermes and the beautiful prints of their bold scarves, I have only been fortunate enough to add two pieces to my hopefully growing collection. Imagine my excitement when I found out that Bluefly was carrying the enamel bracelets that I have been adoring at 10% off! The selection is small and they are going quickly, but with savings of up to $60 off, I can see why! I am keeping a close eye in hopes that they will add more soon! For now, my favorite is below:

Bizzzzy Bee

So I want to apologize for my long blogging break. I have had some company over the past couple of weeks and have been extremely busy! My two best friends from college came to visit and we had such an amazing weekend! Even though we had so much fun, I got sad to see them leave. I love them so much and it's not fair that I only get to see them once a year :(. Hopefully that will change!
My mom and my sister also came to visit. My sister flew in from NYC and my mom drove up from Destin. We had such a good time hanging out and watching movies. I also managed to get a free haircut, that I LOVE. I keep thinking that I want to grow my hair out and try it long, but I never make it. Short hair is easy, and I am all about quick and easy!
I am now getting ready for my 3rd weekend in a row of visitors. Peter and the dogs are coming to stay in my new apartment for the first time! I am so happy that we will actually have room to have the dogs there now. I have been looking forward to a nice weekend that we can take them to Piedmont park, and I think this might be it! That is after our couple's massage, of course :). Peter has had a tough week of work, so I figured that there was no better way to relax than a 60 min. Swedish massage. Nice.

Flashback Friday

I have only been out of college for 3 1/2 years, but I have managed to have some pretty amazing jobs. In my first job working for Farmers' Almanac TV, I was fortunate enough to travel all around the country shooting stories for a PBS show. I met the most amazing people everywhere I went, and even managed to have some fun along the way. I have to say, even though it was hard being away for so long, I really miss being out on the road.
My pics this Friday are from a 3 week trip to California. We traveled all up and down the state shooting everything from organic dairy farms, to a crazy old man collector.

*This was Steve, our camera guy. He was walking back to the hotel after doing laundry and saw Rebekah and I coming, so he played homeless man. I don't think I have ever laughed this hard in my life*

A Little Break...

So...unfortunately a few things have been going on lately that have prevented me from doing much blogging. I was so sick last week that I could barely talk, and this week wasn't much better. I got a call on Monday that my grandmother was in a car wreck and was in critical condition. Thank God she is okay, but it was a little scary getting that call. She was flown to a trauma center about 3 1/2 hours away from where my mom works, and the doctors wouldn't give any updates to my mom over the phone. Fortunately, she only sustained minor injuries. However, I can't say that about the car. Please keep grandma in your prayers.

Now backing up a little bit...I am now moved into my new apt! Even through rain, snow and possible strep throat, Peter and I were able to move last weekend. We even got to enjoy Saturday night by going out to Valenza for his Birthday dinner. I am not 100% settled, but I am on my way! Pics from Birthday dinner are below!

As I mentioned earlier, Atlanta did get some snow on Sunday! I was still a little sick, but I managed to make it out to celebrate Peter's Birthday a little bit more...His parents bought the two of us tickets to the Titanic Exhibit at the Georgia Aquarium. We had such a good time! Peter even brought his HD Mino, so an edited video might be soon to follow. Until then, pictures are below!

Family Matters

So I flew home for the weekend to spend time with my amaaazing family. I was actually able to see both sets of grandparents, my mom and my dad! Usually it's difficult to try and fit everyone in to a single weekend, but this worked out perfectly! I was able to help my grandmother pack for her month long trek to Egypt and Turkey, and even got to have lunch with my dad at Vintij. I had a wonderful time, even thought the weekend started out with a scare:
My grandparents and I went to see International at the Destin Commons at 7:35pm. When we came out of the movie at 9:45pm, we noticed that a string of cops were blocking in our car. Ours and 100 others. Supposedly there was a bomb scare at the Panera and no one could leave or get to their cars till the bomb squad came from Panama City. Not only was it freezing outside, but stores were already closed so we had to all huddle in a little room with no heat...until 2:00am. NOT fun. Needless to say, the rest of the weekend was great! Pictures are below!

This was taken at 1:30am. We were not happy to be cold and awake.

But we made up for our sadness the next day and went shopping! Grandma loves her shoes!

Sunday Brunch with Gma & Gpa Kellow!

Mom is going to kill me for posting this, but oh well :)

Flashback Friday

I don't have much time today, but I did want to post some pics for Flashback Friday. I know most everyone would probably agree, but college was the best time of my life. By far. I met the most amazing people and had the greatest friends anyone could ask for. My pics today are from Rollins graduation. All good things must come to an end:

In the party bus heading to Bob Marleys.

Hot Olives.

Brunch with Heather's Parents.

Good Times with Good Friends.

Lunch Break

I know that I had Monday off, but this week has just flown by! I have been so busy at work that I haven't had time to think about anything else. Basketball season is finally coming to an end, which will mean fewer 6:00 am weekend phone calls and more sleeping in! Besides working, I am in the process of moving into a new apartment. Hopefully, fingers crossed, this will be the last time I live by myself, so I am going to take full advantage of it! My Lilly Pulitzer bedding stays for at least 12 more months! I am also flying home this weekend to visit my family. My grandmother is going to Egypt for the month of March, so I want to help her get ready! I have too much work to catch up on so I can leave early tomorrow, but I will post pictures when I return!
